same but visa versa! everyone i kno (except u!) liked it!
plus it wasnt so chock full of special effects! not as much as it cud have been, the only things that were, were the craken and the flying dutchman (+ crew) which cud hardly have been done otherwise. plus u cud say the dame thing about the first film! i prefered barbossas bad guys cos they werent slimy, davy jones was gross!
besides which, pirates was, ostensibly, made for children so its not made to satisfy the greater cinematic needs of an older audience, its meant to have an element of fantasy and un-realism (is there a word for that? thats not fake) to it.
agree with the keira knightly comment (only bad bit in the film, dislike her intsensely, she killed jack! or as good as) never any question of whether johnny/jack was any good, and ill have to disagree on the orlando thing but i get y ur saying it.
but, u have to admit, commodore norrington was awesome! in a bad bad bad naughty commodore u deceptive not a very nice person kind of way.
and there wud be no need to create a cliff hanger just to keep an audience, there are many hard core pirates fans who wud happily go anyway (look at how popular this sequel is) the barbossa just makes it more intriguing! there will be a reason, we need to trust in the writers!
besides, its twist u didnt see comin! admit it! lol

no i didn't see the twist coming and i agree that this film didn't need a cliff hanger ending to make sure people go see the third film. in fact i believe that the pirate films should all be there own seperate stories maybe having a story that runs through them all but each work as a seperate film on its own. that way the people like me wouldn't feel quite so cheated at hving to settle for a dodgy cliffhanger as an ending. (must admit i am interested to see how they explain it). anyway i've set myself a new challenge and it's to find a film or t.v program we agree on

true, i get where you're coming from on that point. i think i probs wud prefer if they were all sort of separate films, i think they shud have done that or make the trilogy lord of the rings stylee, u kno, so they all bleed into each other.
but then i guess they didnt kno it was gona be a trilogy wen they made the first one. my mate said she liked it but she felt it didnt go anywhere in the end cos of the cliff hanger, which i get cos its weird that the first film can stand alone but the second two cant, but i still love it!
lol sounds like a fun challenge! good luck with that!

thundercats wasn't as good as he-man and the masters of the universe but was still a brilliant cartoon. it should be made into a film

i think they shud start playing old cartoons again!
educate these young 'uns in dreamstone and dungeons and dragons, poddington peas, top cat, original xmen, rhubarb and custard, gummie bears, danger mouse etc etc etc....
that'd be awesome! cartoons have been going down hill since they stopped showing the classics!
