earlier this week: the bulb goes in my light, and poor as i am i cant afford to replace it so i have to rely my lamp and fairy lights, which is actually very pretty but extremely inconvinient
wednesday evening: the bulb in my lamp goes, leaving me in the dark except for the twinkly lights, not great to read by trust me.
4:30am yesterday morning: one of the fuses blows and knocks the plug sockets and alarm out. consequently the alarms starts keening and won't shut up, extremely hard to get to sleep with that going on outside your window believe me.
yesterday morning: get up at 8:20 to sort out the alarm, ring furby, find out its actually extremely easy to fix (at this point i felt like screaming but managed to restrain myself) and then cudnt get back to sleep, was awake all day. finally got to sleep at half two this morning.
today: wake up and read a book on the holocaust, find out the boilers broken and we have no hot water, attempt to clean the house, do the living room start on the kitchen, feel sickened by state of kitchen and clean a third of it before attemtping to wash my hair in the sink (im not sure i managed to get all the conditioner out), start thinking about depressing things like money and starting my last yr at uni etc while sitting in my still dark room.

If you've got a tub or a bucket, you can wash standing up using a sponge. We have to do that sometimes when the boiler breaks, it sucks but it works.

Do you have a kettle? It'll take a while but you could fill the bath/shower up with a bit of water and use that. Even if you don't have a kettle you could still fill the bath/shower up with cold water and wash standing up.

we have a kettle, cant have a cup o' tes without a kettle! but we dont have a bath and our shower tray is really shallow so it cant hold enough water to bathe a barbie doll, let alone a human! so we r left with the sink! plus, cos theres no hot water running thru the pipes, the house is really cold. urgh this house stinks!

I know, life is so much easier when you're single, you get ot lie about and not care about smelling or how you look. I love it although boyfriends are nice too
